I use this charge to charge an Optima AGM 12-volt battery. Using the buttons, I set the charger to "AGM, GEL CELL", "8A", and "BATTERY %". It shows the charge percentage on the display as it charges the battery. The percentage increases slowly as it charges.
Every other time I recharge the battery, it gets "stuck" at a certain percentage (usually between 60-80%) after a while and keeps on charging but never stops. There are times where I've caught it doing this, I'll unplug it, plug it back in, and then it jumps right to 100%.
I'm concerned about this charger overcharging and not being so "smart" as it claims to be. Is anyone else familiar with this charger?
