i ordered 20 el123 batts from botach for 2.13 ea.i got em and they were dated 1996

what the hell!why would they sell batteries 6yrs old.

anyone who buys from them is looking at a time bomb.whether they screw you now or later they will get you.they are like a mirage good prices and have stuff in stock but its all a figment of your imagination.

look if you haven't got shafted by them yet and you disregard this message you deserve what you get.

but seriously people sometimes cheap is just cheap!

Most of us know about them...sorry you got shafted...They have quite a reputation on this board. Fortunately, Brock was an early pioneer and shared his experiences early so I missed a shaft from them. I was about ready to order due to their low prices.

They screw up so consistently - it is getting hilarious

Napalm, don't worry though. The shelf-life is about 10 years (lets make it 8), so you got, 24 months (lets make it 20) to use 20 batteries. I.E. if you are using batteries in 2-piece sets, you have to be using them at such a rate, so you would have to replace each set every 2 months. I think you can do that

1. missed order confirmation email
2. missed tracking number email
3. wrong product shipment
4. charging credit card even if product is unavailable
5. the bad employee-good employee runaround tactic (good cop, bad cop)

Quite a few years ago, I ordered 10 DL 123's from Botach. They were sent as promised. I didn't notice until I tried to use them that some of them were dead already.

I called and was told to send them back with a copy of the reciept, which I had long since disposed of. They do have great prices though.

To their credit, I ordered an Ultra Stinger from them and they sent me an email that said they didn't have any and wouldn't be getting any for several months. What would I like to do? I sent them an email back saying to cancel the order. So far no problems.

I knew what you meant to say...or how you meant to say it Marshall...and I think most of us did too. It`s nice to see some one make the same sort of mistakes I make...sometimes it`s hard to convey feelings when typing on the keyboard and they don`t come across as you meant them to...as they would in person.

Botach is the problem here...nonsence after noncents...perhaps when a new member comes aboard we should include a warning about this company...Welcome aboard Nobeam, as a new member you are forbiden to purchase from Botach untill you have read all the threads concerning this company, just go to the search button and type in thier name.

A different approach might be for David to set up two links...a recommended company link...and not recommended company link...then when we have a good or bad expirernce with a company we can post there as well as here...

Thanks for sharing your displeasure with us Napalm, this company is something else...there is always some tarnish with thier "great deals"...they suck

If any of you are into photography, you would know this is a serious problem. There are at least 15 companies selling photo equipment that I could name right off. Only a couple are safe enough to send your money to.

Do we have any women members yet? Is flasaholism only a male aflection? Do I need a spel keeker? Why is it women do not seem to develop our desease? Are they not as evolved on the evelutionary scale...or more? Is it possible women can see in the dark and just never let on? Where is my medication?

I do not no the true differance between assume and presume...but I do know the affect...when you assume something and are found wrong, it is an innocent mistake...when you presume something and are found wrong you must take the wife out to dinner...seems to be a worse crime.
