Searching for a light mount solution for an optical comparator

I'm working with an optical comparator that is no longer supported by Mitutoyo. For those not familiar, one of the illumination modes is a projector lamp points into a angle mirror in a lens to point light out the lens bounce off the piece on the comparator back into the lens and be projected on an overlay screen.

The stock part I would need would be 172-133 which bolts on the side. The current model 172-423 looks almost the same, but the internals changed and won't work.

What I need to jerry rig this fossil would look something like a microphone stand with a high lumen flashlight. Bonus if it isn't battery powered and wouldn't look ridiculous in a lab. The beam focus is the other issue I'll have to figure out,

Hello and welcome! I'm not too familiar with the equipment you mentioned but this topic may fit better into one of the other subforums here than the Flashlight forum. If you look around and would like it moved just let us know where and we can do that.
