Yes, it's a good charger, in my experience, it seems to terminate correctly every time and just works well.

The TK70:
Check out the official website with dimensions etc
and this excellent HKJ review
and the main TK70 thread.

In my personal experience with it, it's a fantastic light. Brightest flashlight I own, and works superbly on NiMH. I don't recommend using Alkalines, but you've already said you're getting NiMH cells for it, so no worries there.
I think the strap on the TK70 is a bit of a let down, but other than that I'm happy with it.

RE: D cells:
Any quality brand NiMH cell with 8000mAh plus should work fine. Try to get LSD ones if you can, so they don't discharge when the light is sitting around.

I use the Maha MH-C808M charger for all my NiMH cells. It is fairly fast, stays cool, and stops charging reliably. You'll like the TK70. I find it a little heavy, but like the UI. Those buttons up front make it easy to balance. I use mine with all 4 cells. You can use 3 cells as well. Great pair: TK70 and Maha charger. You'll love 'em.

what battery do you recommend to get , brand, mah ??
I plan on having the light in a bug out bag and use it for emergencys and want to get battery's that i can relly on you know what i mean ?
i might switch from time to time with my fenix's

Probably has NO bearing on this.... But any light I want to COUNT on gets AA Lithiums in it. This would include lights in the door of the truck or in an emergency stash. Lights I carry or use a lot get NimH or LI-Ion power.

That said, my Low Self Discharge NimH do a pretty good job of keeping a light ready to use.

I intend to get some Maha Imedion D Cell 9500 mAh Low Self-Discharge cells eventually. I think they'll be good because they have a good capacity, and are low self-discharge, which is perfect for a light that will sit around a lot. It would still pay to cycle the cells every 6 Months perhaps, just so that if there IS a real emergency you'll know they're full charged and ready to go.

Tenergy also does some 8Ah LSD cells, and AccuEvolution does some 10Ah LSD ones.
Any of those would do the trick.
You'll have to search locally for which cells are available where you live.

Back to the question ......

I use a hobby charger for everything. Total control period. I use Tenergy but any premium will be fine with at least 8000ma capacity.
