Self recharging Solar Powered 9v PP3 battery
Saw these in development on a recent trip to Hong Kong.
"SunPower" make possibly ?
Basically it's a 9v PP3 battery with a solar cell panel on the side, with electronics built in.
Two versions, one has the cell and electronics built into the side of the 9v battery.
The other version, has the cell and electronics built into an empty 9v PP3 body, which you then clip onto normal rechargeable 9v battery.
Version one has the disadvantage of being lower capacity, due to reduced call size in the restricted space. Model PS7-010408
Version two retains the original 9v capacity. Model PS7-040108
Only really recommended for torch / radio etc useage, not for smoke alarms.
Main problem as I see it, you cannot recharge the 9v battery whilst it is inside the equipment (it's dark in there, usually)
