Seoul P4 improvement 1 vs 2 cells observation

OK,

I got some P4s in the mail last night and immediately grabbed my EDC Nuwai Q3, a modded Q3, a modded Nuwai TM-301X-3, and my modded Dorcy Metal Gear to test the change in brightness at the center using my meter:

1 cell (Nuwai Q3):
600 lux/1m factory
1750 lux/1m (modded) TWOJ Lux3, IMS20, NexGen833 (w/R123), UCL
2000-2100 lux/1m (modded) UXOJ Lux3, IMS20, NexGen833 (w/R123), UCL
3050 lux/1m (modded) UxxxJ Seoul P4, IMS20, NexGen833 (w/R123), UCL
2900-3000 lux/1m (modded) UxxxJ Seoul P4, IMS20, NexGen750 (w/R123), UCL
2700 lux/1m (modded) UxxxJ Seoul P4, IMS20, NexGen750 (w/CR123), UCL

2 cell (Nuwai TM-301X-3):
1300 lux/1m factory
2700 lux/1m (modded) UXOJ Lux3, IMS20, Downboy1000, UCL
2950-3100 lux/1m (modded) UxxxJ Seoul P4, IMS20, Downboy1000, UCL (don't recall if this was with a CR123 or an RCR123 set).

Dorcy Metal Gear:
1170 lux/1m factory 3xAAA batts, Luxeon 1W (from FlashlightReviews)
3600-4000 lux/1m (modded) UXOJ Lux3, Mc27L, Downboy1100(?), 2xCR123
3600-4100 lux/1m (modded) UxxxJ Seoul P4, Mc27L, Downboy1100(?), 2xCR123

I'm guessing more light is produced in the spill areas that doesn't show in the center spot readings at 1m now given that the change in 1cell to 2 cell isn't as dramatic with the P4s as it was with the Luxeons. None of the optics were modded for the change in emitters (no removal of .075", no change in the Mc-27Ls, etc).

Does this account for why my 2cell (or three cell SF body) have less "bang for the buck?" It looks more like I'm buying less (change in) throw for more size, but getting more runtime when using the P4s and changing the number of batteries. Sound right? I'm kinda disappointed in the change in my Dorcy mod(shades of the poor result of mod of my KL3 (gen1) initially), but pleased as punch at the change in my Q3...

Guess I'd have to go and unmod a Q3 again and do a beamshot...

Since I'm using the same IMS reflectors the beams look very similiar, but with the Q3, the center spot is larger/brighter a touch (as is borne out by the numbers). I think there is more sidespill, and there was much more noticeable ring like artifacts at the outer edge of the spill from reflections off the edge of the bezel (worn to aluminum), the edge of the IMS, etc when using the P4 vs. the Lux3.
