hi everybody,
i'm interrest to buy the 10X,
please, can someone tell me if there is problem with the B20 batterie pack like the B90?
thank a lot,
excuse me for my bad english...

There have been no problems with the 10X batteries.
No reports as with b90's. Never was. (Hooray!)

GO FOR IT! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

BTW: SF sent me replacement b90's. I'd argue that they're 'fixed'. Someone disagreed by inferring that the lot number code meant they're old stock but hey they're working for me so I'm contending that they're fixed. The code on my working ones is CK32 by the way.

[edit] Yeah, I didn't mean to sound too authoritative. What I meant is that "there have been no problems with the 10X batteries that I remember reading about in the forums." Sorry if I mislead you there. Al states much better below from his perspective. And his perspective is (note the shelf-o-lights picture) much, much broader than mine.

As far as I know the 10X's B20 Battery Body has not had any issues or problems since it was released.

Mine holds it's charge for weeks.

The switch is located on the rear of the body.

The 10X is my primary carry for long walks in the wood behind my house - depending on how long is long, I'd use the stock MN30 main beam or the high output MN32 main beam lamp. The MN31 High beam is usually used to light up the path ahead so I decide where to walk.

Al

Al,
it's exactly for that use i look for it !
for see and choose where i go with the MN31,also for see where is my dogs or the other animals around, and the MN3O or MN32 for walk with good illumination.
is the switch work like the other SF?
thanks,
peace,
max.
excuse for my poor english...

If you press the 10X switch the main beam will light.
If you press the switch harder the high beam will light.

Rotating the bezel onto the battery/body:

Main disabled, High disabled
Main pressure, High disabled
Main pressure, High more pressure
Main constant-on, High pressure
High constant-on.

This is how the A2 and L1 two-stage TailCap Pressure Switch functions too.

When the high beam is on, the main beam is also on.
(This is the same for the 9AN and A2)

I hope this helps?

Al

yes,this really help me!!!
this type of swith seem to be very useful !!!
what kind of sensation you have when you rotate the bezel for choose the position?
like a click?
thank
max

No, the threads are smooth and there is no click to let you know when each "mode" has been reached. I have found that I get to 'know' my 10X and the rotations needed.

Al

The reflectors are CNC machined Aluminium alloy and finished on the outside with Mil Spec Type III Hard Anodise.
The "bezel" itself is Nitrolon polymer.
The 10X has a Pyrex (tempered glass) lens.
