I need some help
icon3.gif
, could anyone measure for me the voltage out of his T210 transformer at the dual-prong interchange at the end of the wire, not connected to the charger?

As i'm overseas located my electrical system is 240V AC so i needed to change the transformer core.

Thanks

Thanks JT

I get 18.8V and 11.48V in cradle also connected to car battery gives me 11.48V in cradle.

I wonder if 18.8 is ok?

The charger would have a voltage regulator built into it so it would be able to control the various voltages from the transformer and vehicle systems to the charger. If both connections are supplying 11.48 volts at the cradle, you have no worries about the 18.8 volts.

You should be able to buy a converter at a travel shop that will reduce the 220 volts to 110 volts thus avoiding a change to the charger transformer.

Also Surefire sells a version of the T210 transformer that operates on 220 volts.

Tombeis,

I have asked to cut off the metal transformer core out of the T210 housing and just leave the circuit untouched, thus saving package weight. Its more complicated using a convertor than plant a new 230V AC transformer.
