SF and Nyogel 760 question - Any issues if used on o-rings too?

From what I read on this board, SF recommends Nyogel 759/760 for use on the threads and 779 on the o-rings.

In 2008 I bought Nyogel 760 and use it on both my threads and o-rings. I didn't know about the recommendation to use 779 until a few minutes ago :D

So - is there any issue with continuing to use 760 on the o-rings too or do I really need to get 779?

Everything has functioned fine so far and I assume it's better than nothing ... ?

I doubt even SF uses two separate grades of nyogel on the same parts when they apply it in the factory, since it would all run together in the end.

779 is just less viscous, which makes turning fine threads or tight o-rings a little easier.

This thread is unnecessary. Rookiedaddy has given a link to the correct thread for this discussion.
