SF KL1 is now available in Germany

I'm telling ya the KL1 or any other good LS based lights are a must gets. Only when you saw it will you feel how great it is to be able to have the colour white.

is the light of the KL1 whiter than that of the mn03 with fresh lithiums?

Yes, but a slightly blue white. I am sure the KL-1 is a much higher Kelvin temperature then the MN-03 lamp.

I have two KL-1's. The first one is slightly brighter then the second. Both to me, are very useful lights. In fact I replaced the bezel on my E2e EDC with a KL-1 and use it every day.

The KL-1 has cut my 123 lithium battery usage quite a bit.

You know I would not tell you not to get one would I?

i cant decide if i should get one or not

i have 2 SF E2 HA III and one of them is always with me. i also have always a photon II and arc aaa on me.

Why should i get an led head for my E2 ?
a) becaue of the longer runtime ?
b) because the led(-bulb) will never burn out and i will have always light
c) because i can run it with my half-dead cr123's
d) because its so cool

my answers to the questions above :

to a)
no, i newer used the E2 longer then 5 minutes constant on, and if i need longer runtime than 60 minutes i use my arc aaa

to b)
yes and no. the led-(bulb) will last longer but the xenon bulbs is much brighter and has more throw.

to c) ok, thats right. but i can keep the half deads 5-10 years and wait for a regulated xenon flashlight

to d)
yes, its cool, but the very bright white light of the mn03 is also cool.

what would you do ?
