After reading about the Arc 4 "Forensics Kit" I decided to build my own. I just slapped a RB lux III into an L1 head, and replaced the NX-05 with a McFlood.

I'm wondering why Arc chose the Luxeon Dental for the forensics kit. The "Dental" has a typical peak wavelength of 460nm, while the royal blue is a shorter 440-450nm. The Dental seems to be 2-3x more expensive, as well. Then again, I haven't seen a Dental emitter in person.
Anyway, back to my "cheapo" forensics kit. It does indeed make some things flouresce.

It charges up the nearly useless 10-year-old glowpowder on my swiss army watch like it was brand new! Some things, though, don't glow. Baby vomit and chocolate ice cream stains on the carpet are immune.
One other thing. It drives the ladies CRAZY!!! But not in the good way... turning all the lights out and flinging near-uv all over the house doesn't score a lot of points. But hey, for a three-minute mod, this thing is a lot of fun!
