SF M4 w/ PILA 168s???

hello all,

will 2 PILA 168s work in a M4(MN60 & MN61)?
if so, does it have enough juice to put out 225 & 350 lumens respectively?
love to hear the pros & cons of such a set-up.

I don't own this setup, but 2 Pilas will only give you 7.4 volts. You would need to use the 3 cell lamps (N2, MN15, MN16, etc) at extended runtime. Your M4 lamps will look dim on this setup. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Bore it out to accept the higher caps 168A cells and use a MN21 - we did a shootout last night using a stock M6 on fresh cells with MN21 (50 lumens) and my poor mans M6 wanna-be (9P + A19 both bored out, KTx Turbohead, 2 x 18650 LiIon and MN21) was pretty much the same - probably just a slightly different sized hotspot, in general I think experience on CPF shows that some of the 3 cell LA can be nicely driven with 2 x LiIon (or PILA) but I heard that others like i.e. the N2 won´t do this as well/long then.

3 168s in the M4 w/ 2 A19's works great for me. If you do not have 2 A19's then you need to use the 9volt lamps mentioned MN15 MN16 N2 I like the N2 best but have and use all 3 with 2 168s.
