A pocket clip on a SF comes in very handy in my mind. However, not all models come with a pocket clip. I was just wondering if anyone knows if you can or has tried to put a pocket clip on a SF model that doesn't originally come with one? Any possible problems with an improper fit? Thanks!

So does this clip work on any SF model? Im assuming from your post that the clip only fits under the tailcap and not the bezel? Any other brand of clip that fits?

I believe any clip that has a 1in opening will work. The Novatac clip seems to look the nicest IMO.

Is there any problem with the ring not allowing the tailcap to screw down tight enough? Or is it thin enough that it doesnt make much difference?

There's plenty of room to allow for tightening the tail cap, in fact you have add an O-ring to get any semblance of function from the clip. It's a bodged affair as far as I'm concerned but YMMV as others seem to like it ok.

As far as the Novatac clip set-up goes, you need a 5/8" O-ring, and it has to be a thick one. I got mine from a variety pack designed for plumbing fixtures. I originally used a thinner 5/8" O-ring. But had to screw down the tailcap so far that the twist constant-on mode would engage. Back off the tailcap a bit, and the Novatac clip would loosen too much.

The thicker O-ring is the key.

well i can tell u that the olight doesnt work ,, i bought it because it is open in the back so i thinned the holding clamp down to screw down the bezel on it and the damn clip is too thin and cheap so it isnt strong enough to snap back ,, it was only a 3 dollar experiment though,, i was hoping it would work and pass it on to u guys , sry

i wonder if there is enough space to bore out hole of the novatac and do the same thing at the bezel ? it seem to be made of stronger metal and may work, hmmm
