I was just looking through my User Manual for my new Surefire 6PX Tactical and came across this gem of a phrase in the warranty text.

"Normal wear and tear--including lamps burning out, headbands and headpads wearing out, batteries draining, ink cartridges running out, and switches wearing out--is not covered, nor is damage resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, battery damage, use of other than SureFire-brand batteries or accessories, or altering these products from their original state."

Is there an SF product that takes an ink cartridge? Or is this just an easter egg in the text?

Their referring to their line of overpriced pens.

If you want overpriced pens look up Mont Blanc 🙂

I always wanted to try a SF pen, but couldn't decide on which model or what color (get them all? - ow).

When I first seen Ink Cartridges I first thought of an inkjet ptinter.

I quite like mine. I actually had a opportunity to test the window breaker of the V1 model (EWP-01) very recently. Worked like a charm.

Hehe, I didn't mean any insult there. Admittidly, they aren't my thing but they are nice, but none suit my style. I'm more of a Cross/Parker/Fisher space pen kind of guy.

(Sorry to derail the thread)

I've been looking at a titanium Mars space pen recently. It does look nice and I've got some extra cash.

The Fisher Space Pen that writes upside down is as far as I want to go with pens at this time.😎

I bought one of the SF pens and gave it to my dad for fathers day. He loves the thing.
