Someone on another forum requested some beamshots, so here they are.

I'm comparing a Surefire 9P to my TorchLAB triple XPG V4 (~1000 lumens from one 18350).

Shots are towards my workbench. The target is the red tool tray, 25' away.

With the overhead lights on.

Control, with some ambient lighting from a CFL, realistic conditions I feel for many environments.

Some beamshots as requested. In this first set, I am comparing my TorchLAB triple XPG V4 (~1000 lumens from one 18350) against the requested Surefire 9P.

These are in my basement (we've moved recently, please excuse the mess). The target is the square Lowe's box on the left, 20' away.
First we have the shot with the overhead lights on.

Then control.

Thanks Studey! I've been reading through this forum as well. I also read the OR Moddoolar review on Everyday Commentary.

Previously posted in this thread:

A beamshot comparison between the following modules:

  • Malkoff M31W (which actually uses a neutral XP-G @ 5000K)
  • Moddoo Direct Drive (V2) XP-G triple (XPG R5 @ ~6000-6500K?)
  • Moddoo Regulated 1100 (V3.0) 'neutral' 3-mode XP-G triple.
Beamshots were taken at 6 feet. The exposure setting was set to the Malkoff M31W and subsequently held constant.

Standard exposure:

Malkoff M31W (2xAA NiMH, ~240 lms OTF)_ Moddoo Direct Drive XP-G triple (cool tint, 1xAW18650, Zero-res)

Moddoo Regulated three-mode '1100' (neutral tint, 2xAW18500, zero-res)
High__________________________________ Medium_______________________________ Low

Underexposed:

Malkoff M31W (2xAA NiMH, ~240 lms OTF)_ Moddoo Direct Drive XP-G triple (cool tint, 1xAW18650, Zero-res)

Moddoo Regulated three-mode '1100' (neutral tint, 2xAW18500, zero-res)
High__________________________________ Medium_______________________________ Low

Conclusions:
These two modules from Moddoo & ElectronGuru are pretty much unbeatable in my favorite form factor (SureFire C2 & C3, bored for 1x18650 & 2x18500).
The tint from the 1100 'neutral' is exceptional. :twothumbs

Here's another beamshot. This one is in the bottom of my old barn. There's some sunlight coming through, but it is still very dark. First shot is control.

Second shot is my TorchLAB drop in on high. The rock wall is 30' away.
