I've noticed comments on certain led flashlights being over driven (PAL is one, I think). My question is, how much brighter does an led get and how much is the life reduced? Do we have any figures, like 25% over voltage produces 40% more light and reduces led life by 70%.
I would happily accept having led life reduced from 100,000hrs to 10,000hrs in exchange for more light. Any thoughts or facts on the subjecct?
