shipped a flashlight to Streamlight? **UPDATE**

I just sent off a Streamlight SL20x for repair. It just stopped working a few minutes after I got it. I think it's the switch.

What can I expect them to do? refurb? I know when you send a Glock in for warranty they tend to replace all the springs, etc. Can I expect the same from SL, or will they just replace the defective part?

Depends.
Most recently, I sent back a 7LED 4AA that flickered. They just replaced the LED assembly into the old body.

Another light I sent back, they replaced the entire thing...

About a 18 months ago, I sent back a Stinger XT because the head wasn't tightly mated to the body and rattled slightly.

They replaced the head. The process took 2-3 weeks.

After I called them for burned out 7LED 4AA, they sent me LED assembly in a week. They didn't even ask me to send them bad one.

I sent them a Septor headlamp with a bad switch and I received a new one, complete with batteries, within two weeks.

I sent my scorpion in a few months back and they replaced the sleeve. The tech I talked to said they usually give them a good once over to make sure everything is working well before they ship them out.

I sent in my 4AA 7 led to have the
switch replaced and it took about
3 weeks to return.

Got my SL20x back the other day. Total time from the day I shipped to being back at my door was less than 2 weeks, very fast turnaround.

They replaced the switch, tailcap spring, lens and lamp. Everything was under warranty except the lamp. I was charged $16 for the lamp and $5 for "handling charge". I sent the lamp back to them with a note saying thanks but I already have enough lamps and a check for $5. I run a SL35 lamp in it anyway, much superior to the SL20 lamp.

I am very happy with the customer service at Streamlight.
