SHOT Show 2010 Logistics, CPF at SHOT

I was just thinking about SHOT the other day and was contemplating starting a thread for it. I'm glad to see that MrMom is once again taking the lead.

I actually got my room booked earlier this week. I called hotels.com to book a room for a trip to Chicago later this week, and while I was on the phone with them I figured I'd get SHOT taken care of while I was at it. I'll be staying at the Flamingo again this year, which I'd readily recommend to anyone planning on going to the show. It's only a short walk to the convention center, and is reasonably priced for a decent quality hotel. I believe my room is $72 a night.

Eagerly looking forward to my 5th SHOT show!

I had a long post all typed out with some early info but my 2 cats decided to have a room race which included my keyboard in their path. All was lost. I am sure that some have been there, done that.

Someone needs to start the SS 2011 discussion thread, I will follow up with the logistics thread (read only) when more details are solidified.

CPF folks, you will get in to the show so book the trip now. Pass procedure to follow.

We haven't locked in the date yet but we'll be having our party on the 19th or 20th. I'm waiting on SF & PK to see if they have any plans first before we lock it in.

Had fun on my first SHOT show this year and it was great meeting CPF members and vendors. I'm planning on attending SHOT 2011 but too early to know for sure.
Steve-at-Springboard, am i still in for that pass?

Thanks for the sentiment, but it's a matter of time, money, and PTO from work. I've already got a high-priority project that conflicts with me leaving for any multi-day stretch in January. The only reason I get to leave at Christmas is because I already had it scheduled.

We'll be hosting a CPF get-together and am open to suggestions for the date, time and place. Send us your suggestions.

We're going to make some HUGE announcements related to our company as well as some INSANE unprecedented products that will unveiled for the first time. For that reason, I'm leaning towards the beginning of the show perhaps the first day. There will also be a press release near the beginning of the show which we will try to broadcast live (this time with sound 😛)

As usual, we'll have lots of giveaways at the get-together over dinner and have a great time.

We're looking at one location - a large comfortable showroom nearby - we'll see how that will work out 😛

Hey Pete, if you go then im going. it just so happens that my parents live in Henderson. a suburb about 8 miles from the strip. So no worries about me needing a place to stay. I just dont know how I will get in to shotshow. It is industry only right? well if you are going then I will go. Plus i can use the time to talk to my wedding coordinator.

count me in once I know the dates i can start booking flights.
