Twenty-Two Executives and Employees of Military and Law Enforcement Products Companies Charged in Foreign Bribery Scheme
Defendants Arrested in Las Vegas and Miami; 21 Search Warrants Executed in United States and United Kingdom:wave:

I want to thank all of the CPF folks that I met at the SHOT show and all of the vendors/dealers who donated such wonderful prizes. The two parties were awesome. In this world that can get so negative it was a pleasure to be among such positive people. And I especially like my pink flashlight.lovecpf

Welcome Mrsbullzeye! :welcome:

This post will be full of thanks to many people who made the SHOT Show such a wonderful event for me this year. For some, I actually know names and faces; for others, I know only company names; for all, even for those I unintentionally leave out, my thanks are sincere. This SHOT Show was my most enjoyable yet, and it was because of the people who worked to make it that way, not because of the "stuff" that was handed out (and don't get me wrong, there was a WHOLE LOT of that, and it was all really cool).

First, I want to give a HUGE thanks to MrMom for all the work he repeatedly does behind the scenes to make these get-togethers happen! Most of us don't know how much work it takes to set up things like this, even for as simple a thing as choosing a date/time/place for an event, let alone coordinating the schedules for the large number of manufacturers and distributors that contributed to MattK's party. It's a good thing that there are unlimited cell-phone plans, that's all I have to say. To top things off, he does this year after year, and, so far as I know, he does this with no prodding from anyone else, and for no financial remuneration; he does this because he has a passion for flashlights, and for the community we have here on CPF. Thank you, MrMom!

Next, I want to thank David of 4Sevens and MattK of BatteryJunction for hosting their respective events. Without someone to step forward, neither of these events would have taken place. I know that each of you contributed significantly to these in time, money, and product, and, at least for my part, that generates brand loyalty that is hard to beat.

I also want to thank everyone who contributed to the "goodie pile" at the BatteryJunction party on Thursday night, including, but not limited to (because I probably left out at least one), BatteryJunction, COAST LED Lenser, Fenix, HDS Systems, LRI, NiteIze/Inova, Rothrandir, Springboard Engineering, and SureFire. Your generosity is greatly appreciated, and the magic of brand loyalty that I mentioned earlier happens here, too.

Thanks also to Polklifer for doing all the on-site ground work it took to finalize details for the BatteryJunction party. The food and beverages were yummy, diverse, and plentiful. Thank you!

Nearly last, I want to say thanks to everyone who attended any of the various meet-ups, get-togethers, and parties. I know that, because of schedules, not everyone could or did attend every event, but the surprise of who would show up contributed to the fun, too. Coming together as a physical community the way we do as an online community is what really makes SHOT Show so enjoyable. I really look forward to these, and it's always great to refresh memories of faces I've met, and to create memories of faces that are new.

And finally, many, MANY thanks to Greta and all the rest of the CPF admins, without whom absolutely none of this would have been possible.

I went in to work today to pick up most of the gifts that were to be given at the SHOT Show this year that I missed out in. There are several more though not complete.

Please no generic requests for the CPF ones at this time. Find your CPF user name and send me a PM with your address so that I can mail them out to you free of charge. My intentions were to hand deliver these in person... Oh Well!

‘jp2515’… that is yours above ‘MattK’s

Isn’t CPF just GRAND!

THANKS!!! :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup: PM Inbound

Well the SHOT 2010 has come and gone, but a great time was had by all. This was my first show so it was great to meet my fellow CPFer live and in person.

First and foremost thanks to Steve and Springboard for inviting me to the show and thanks for the generous donations for the party. It was neat to see someone put a flare on their head, hey look its a police car! LOL.

Greta & KC, thank you guys for your hard work and dedication because without you, might be lost in cyberspace without a cool clubhouse to hang out at.

Mr Mom, thanks Robert for your tireless effort to arrange everything and to get everyone together. None of these get togethers could have happened without your time and effort. We should all chip in and get you a plaque or something with 2010 CPF SHOT Show King. He is a tried and true flashaholic at heart and shares a great passion for the lights and people. A round of applause for another job well done.

4Sevens: Thank you to David and the 4Sevens crew (and Carrot) for showing us the latest and greatest coming from your company. It was awesome that everyone who attended went home with a Quark/Preon, again thanks for your generousity.

MattK, when Matt says we are having a party, he really means it! The party was awesome! Plus we got to meet and chat with reps from our favorite companies. All this helps to generate brand loyalty and bring in new customers. Thanks for inviting us! Last and not least also thanks to Polklifer for his hard work for the party. Thanks to both of you.

HDS Systems/RA Lights, it was a pleasure to share a booth and speak to the famous Henry and to see his famous lights. Thank you very much Henry, learned a lot more about the lights and the inspiration behind the drive to design one of the best lights. Plus it was a treat to see the Adventurelight and the Twisty that had had been tossed around.

Fenix: It was pretty awesome of the Fenix guys to show up and bring us some of their latest lights (and some prototypes). Its not everyday we get to meet and talk to the designer/engineeer behind some of our favorite lights. Arewethereyetdad got a custom engraved LD01 with the designer name on it. Bravo!

Inforce: They brought some really nice tactical lights for the giveaway. Plus we got to see some new lights.

LRI/Photonlight: A specical thanks for the LRI group. Not only did they bring some cool items for the give away but talking to Leo & Star made it sound like you were talking to one of your friends. Their generousity was amazing. It was great to talk to everyone who was present and thanks for placing the customer first and staying true to your core values. Also the flying Photon light into the pool was cool to a whole new level!

Coast / Led Lenser, again another company who really stepped out and blew us away with their generousity. Everyone present got a COAST Keychain light, a Mini-Tac Torch. They also brought a unbelievable amount of lights ranging from the little Mini Tac Torch up to the T7 and all the way to a X21! Simply amazing! A round of applause for Coast/LL.

Surefire: It was great to meet and chat with the Surefire crew (it was a blast) and to get a little behind the scenes information on what really goes on at the office. SF brought some really nice lights and everyone who attended got a Icon Modus 1. While PK was not there at the party, he sure was with us in spirit. Thanks Surefire!

NiteIze / Inova, the NI/Inova get a special thanks for going above and beyond for wowing everyone at the party. The crew brought a light from each company so each attendee got a NI SPOTLIT AND a Inova X2. That's really awesome and generous of them. My hats off to them for their generousity and congratulations on their new purchase. Looking forward to see what new lights they will be bringing out in the future.

Novatac & TerraLUX, didn't see them in detail but Novatac & Terralux sent some cool lights in for the giveaway, thanks to both companies for their generousity.

Peak: It was great to meet to meet Robyn at the party and thanks for her donation to the giveaway.

Olight, it was great to meet Mr Olight again and chat with him about their new and upcoming products.

Nitecore: Thanks to Nitecore, got a chance to see of thier new PD10 that was part of the giveaway.

AE Light, can't forget AE light and the special light that was awarded to Mrs Bullzeyebill

Even after all that, it was a pleasure to talk to the all the other guests including Gene & Cathy Malkoff, our other CPF members, the Maxpedition crew (they brought even more gear to giveaway), the MicroFire HID people and everyone else. I apologize If I forgot anyone, there was a lot going on and it was just way too much fun. Can't forget about Rothandir (I won one of his cool pens) and Leatherman for their contributions.

Wait almost forgot about Flavio & BOG, it was great to see all the Jetbeam lights at the show and I can tell him and his company are growing and quite busy as evidenced by the Flavio being on the phone and talking to people every time I passed by.

Hey, I see my name in there!
PM inbound.

Also I'd like to thank:
- 4sevens for letting me work at his booth and hosting the wednesday dinner
- MattK for the most excellent "partyyyyy"
- MrMom for organizing everything

- PK, Surefire, Icon, Nite-Ize, Coast, LRI/Photon for the door prizes

and it was great meeting all of you guys...

It was a pleasure getting to meet many of you at this years SHOT Show. The traffic at our booth was a bit overwhelming at times so I did miss chatting with some of you. We had every intention of going to the 2nd nights party, however was forced to go to dinner with a potentially large customer and finished up later than expected (these shows suck all of the energy out of you). I did manage to meet Gunney Sergeant R. Lee Ermey (their new spokesperson) at the SOG party...nice guy. Next year I will have to manage my time somewhat better. For those of you I did manage to get a few minutes with...thanks for stopping by and making us feel welcome.

All in all it was a great time, even though the only booths I got to visit were the ones directly next to us and a few that I passed in the morning on the way to our booth.

See ya'll next year!

Regards,
Flavio

Well, I don't know how much I can really add to what has already been said so far, but...

Thank you, Thank you,Thank you!!!

This was my first SHOT SHOW and I guess I really picked the right one to go to. I never expected in my wildest dreams that I would meet such generous and caring people. It boggles my mind (doesn't take that much) that so much stuff was given away. If there was ever a reason for me to spend more money on lights and other cool stuff, I believe I have just found it. I fully intend to make future purchases from all companies who donated to the get togethers. It will be my way of giving back to those who were so generous to give to us. I hope others will do the same, as I'm sure many will.

There was certainly more to see at the show than is humanly possible for one person in only 4 days. If I ever attend another SHOT, I will try to be a little more organized in my searching.

I would also like to add that it was a pleasure meeting Kelly (Greta) and KC. They are definetly good people. I don't know many couples that get along as good as they do. Who would have ever guessed that stalking could turn out to be a good thing. 😉

Without this forum, I would never have known about all the different lights and would never have spent so much money on them. OK, maybe I shouldn't go down that road.... 😱

There are many members that I can now put a face to their forum names. Not that I will remember their real names, but I never forget a face. Hopefully, I won't have any nightmares. 😀

Bob, you deserve alot of credit and thanks for keeping our unruly group somewhat in check. It is not always an easy thing to take charge of a bunch of strangers and keep things going smoothly, but you did a wonderful job and my hat is off to you. 🙂

David (4 Sevens) and Matt (Battery Junction), you guys made alot of rep with me and I will fully recommend each of your businesses to anyone looking for the products you sell. Your kindness will not be forgotten.

I hope everyone got back to their respective lives in one piece. I will always remember the fun times I had at this years Shot Show. I hope you all do the same.

Patty and I had a wonderful time at the Show, and a fabulous time at both David (4-7's), and MattK's events. Kudo's to both of them for being such gracious and generous hosts. Everyone won a 4-7's flashlight at David's party. Thanks to the dealers, including MattK, and manufacturers who gave out flashloight and contributed to the door prize drawings at MattK's party. And a special thanks to Matt, AE Lights, and Kelly (Greta) for the special pink flashlight that was presented by Kelly to Patty. Patty was touched by Kelly's presentation of the light to her. I will add that Patty has, as of yesterday, joined CPF as MrsBullzeyebill, which pleases me no end. She, as Kelly noted at Matt's party, has supported my CPF flashaholic behavior these past years (almost 7), and has been an active participant at SHOT CPF parties. Kudo's to Patty.

That is awesome!

I wish the MrsNitroz would join here.

OK, its my turn to weigh in on SHOT 2010. ...BEST SHOT SHOW EVER!!! We met a lot of great people at our booth: CPFers, USN folk, dealers, other exhibitors and the press. I wish SHOT was twice as long, except it would kill me! Gotta thank my 'bookend' helpers, jp2515 and horizonseeker. MrMom helped out during move-in/move-out and in the booth, all the while coordinating two parties and seeing the show. Henry and Bobby: always a pleasure to share a booth with. David and Matt: thanks for the great parties, I will be buying more product from each of you.

Remember, the next two years (at least), SHOT is in Vegas. Who else is in???
