Hey, folks... it's that time of year again, when the Halloween candy is on sale in the stores, your email inbox gets flooded with notices of sales on "trick or treating" lights (most of which we already own, in one color or another), and SHOT Show Registration has been open for a while.

So, who's going? It seems to me that I heard that our fearless leader has already registered.

Here's a little snippet of an email the NSSF sent out to its members back when the registration was first open.
NSSF Newsletter said:
Those fortunate enough to hold a ticket to the 2013 SHOT Show's SOI [State Of the Industry dinner/presentation] on Jan. 15 will be treated to an unforgettable performance by Terry Fator, Las Vegas star and past winner of "America's Got Talent." The SOI will be held at the Palazzo Ballroom beginning at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $115 each or $1,050 for a table of 10, so order now when registering for the SHOT Show. Another tip for early birds is to visit the SHOT Show website to book lodging while the best prices and most convenient accommodations are still available.
Now, I've never been to the State of the Industry dinner, no matter who they've had as the entertainment, but this one does sound pretty fun. And just to grab a price for comparison, I tried to buy a ticket to Terry Fator's show at the Mirage for Thursday, 12/22... they're about $150 when he's over there; I couldn't find any of those $60 tickets they advertise. (Not that I plan to go to SHOT Show for the Vegas shows, anyway...)

Anyway... we go for other reasons, like seeing our friends, checking out all the cool new offerings from our favorite flashlight vendors (and actually placing orders with some of them), learning about new companies, stuffing our "buffet pants"... oh, wait-- that's just Roth, isn't it?

So... back to my original question... who's going to SHOT Show 2013?

Where is everybody? Patty and I are going. Staying at the Imperial Palace. Get there Monday, and leave Sunday, or sooner.

Springboard will be there again in our new location, #541 - a double-wide with corners facing the seats for the food service (The Bistro). Will announce later who we will be representing this year.
BTW, exhibitors are limited to four passes this year, plus two more for each additional 100 square feet. So, with my double-wide booth, I get six, all spoken for. The limit used to be 22 or something like that.

She said, "for sure", and that isn't the surprise. She's looking forward to the Bellagio water show, and garden, and I'm feeling better and can do more of that.

I should like to attend this year. I just hope I can find the time. I shall look into it tomorrow.

I'll be there for the week and I'm dragging Mrs Noggin along too.

I look forward to seeing everyone again!

Where is everyone staying? I am just now booking my room and was looking at finding a common hotel.

I'm not sure yet if I'll be going or not, but if I do I will likely also be staying at Imperial this time. Can't beat the price or location, and they've got the best breakfast in town.

Wait... when I stayed there back in 2006, I ate at a little diner-food-type place that was pretty near the casino, IIRC. It was pretty good, but is that the place you guys are talking about?

Oh, and when I go to Las Vegas these days, I stay in one of my time-share locations, and I therefore have no idea what kind of cash rates you'd find at any of them.

Honey and I are booked into Harrah's. I think I booked us from Monday night through Saturday. Honey will have to go off to class down in Bullhead City on Thursday but otherwise we'll there all week! :D
