well my favorite lights are 2aa and single aa lights.
but can you guys tell me more about cr123a and 18650.
how is the runtime on lights with these batteries.
i'm guessing it kills the single aa but how do they compare to 2 aa batteries.
can you recomend me my first light with either of these.
i'm a rechargeable kind of guy so would 18650s be better.
thats an A size battery right.

what are the average mah of these batteries?
cr123a is 3.0 volt
18650 is 3.6 right?

Don't know much about 18650 - but that battery is very highly regarded here. You mentioned that you like rechargables and I just wanted to point out that CR123's also come in rechargable versions. They are normally 3.6 volts, although there are some that are 3.0 volt - which are compatible with almost all lights which run on CR123's. Some lights which use CR123's can't take the higher 3.6 volts of normal rechargables.
The mAh [milli-Amp hour] rating of the rechargeable CR123 cells is lower than CR123 primaries, so you loose some runtime. The 18650's have a higher mAh rating than rechargable CR123's.
