i had a 4seven quake AA. Not bad torchlight but too bad it is not so bright to showoff as I think Lumen is <100.

I was thinking to buy a torchlight from China Taobao as my business imports other things there too.

This polyfire looks not bad and its lumen is 2-3x more powerful than my quake AA (I paid S$80 for my quake AA including shipping and this cost <$20 including shipping and 2-3x more powerful😡😡)

This looks quite nice. Links removed See red banner at top of page (This cost <S$40)

I was wondering whether these deals are too good to be true. Any things I should take note before buying these PRC products?

I am not advertising as I do not know these PRC people. I am just trying to find out why their flashlight is so powerful and cheap while my quake AA is so expensive and weak and I am trying to get a new showlight

my quark says it parts are made in america and assimbled in china.4sevens is an american based company.
how much do you think a chinese based company pays in its day to day opperations not to mention payroll and benefits.
i will pay more for 4seven and my redwings.

I have no love of quarks... but their lumens are ANSI rated. Quark AA2 lights are about as bright as an AA light can get.

Other companies do their lumen ratings in-house and they tend to be overly generous... or just flat out lie.

Also those lights you posted a link to appear to be 18650 lights, which are much brighter than AA lights.

If you want an 18650 light to impress people, Shiningbeam is selling a Romisen RC-T601 for $28.95.. it's over 750 lumens. :naughty:

Get a 14500 battery and charger for your Quark and it will be a pocket rocket. Be sure to read up on the care of Li-ion batteries or get some fire insurance.

Edit: Use 1x14500 only.

you mean I can put 2 14500 battery into my torch instead of the normal AA? The bulb won't burn?

Since you did not say, We assumed you had the single AA Quark.
No if you have the Quark AAx2 that usses 2 AA batteries do not use 14500 cells. Only the single AA Quark can use them.
