I haven't heard about this, what were the quality issues? I bought for myself and for a friend Sebenza 31 and a small Inkosi, both dated summer 2023. The quality of the new Mangocut steel is very good, the locking with a large ball is also very reliable

Modified 501. Using a dremel, I cut off part of the spring so that when closing the blade does not become dull when hitting it. The side effect was a weaker spring, now you don't have to press with all your might. Initially the pressure on the finger was stronger than on a normal 110, now everything is fine
From what i recall, and mind you this is quite a few years ago, the main issues were the tolerances of the construction leading to blade play, the blade rubbing against the scales despite the knife being assembled properly, the lock bar either engaging too much from factory or not enough, uneven heat treating, just general quality drops which led to more problems down the line since the knives require those tolerances to work as they're intended to. I can't really link to other forums here, but the problems were mostly seen in the 21 and 25 if memory serves, likely because they were the most sold ones.

Got it, thank you, the main thing is that everything is fine now

I picked up the new Spyderco Stretch 2 XL with PD#1 steel. It's larger but lighter than the Stretch 2 K390 due to not having full liners. With only a week of use the verdict is still out, but it may run my K390 Stretch 2 out of its position as my favorite Spyderco.

How old is that Inkosi? I recall some years ago that CR knives had dropped in quality in relation to some divorce, but i haven't kept up since.
The Carbon Fiber is from early 22, I have a titanium from early 21. Both are excellent, grind lines, locks, blade centering all great.
