Hi guys. I'm planning to run Q4559X landing light with 20 A123s (10s2p). However - the "bulb" is able to survive stable voltage of this pack under load, but not the inrush when turning on. I'm looking for simple solution (FET+ very simple PWM). Any ideas?

(I know that there is dev thread for full-blown regulator - which probably be the best solution - but it seems it will take some time till final product emerge from it)

The simplest soft start device is an NTC thermistor. This is a device that has a high resistance when cold, but a very low resistance when hot. You place it in series between the batteries and the bulb. The bulb current heats up the NTC so that once the bulb is switched on the resistance drops close to zero.
