Is someone working on a single driver solution for the Seoul P7 LED?
Warning - that page is picture heavy. :scowl:
Aside from the Triflupic, The D2DIM is a perfect "single board" driver for the P7. I really like the D2DIM.
Or almost - I think this driver doesn't protect against over-voltage conditions. Would adding a capacitor on the output make it more nearly perfect? This is perfect, Thanks!
The D2DIM driver is a PWM direct drive controller. It does not regulate current or limit current, thus it is the user's responsibility to ensure the current to the LED(s) is limited externally. This may require either a series resistor or an external current regulator.
Another thing about the D2DIM that makes it great for those considering direct drive, is the 16V max. input.
Plus it's cheap!
George's boards are nothing but quality & IMO are worth every penny as well as the D2DIM! Could you point to another PWM dimmer of the same quality & nice UI for less? I don't know of any.
Right it is perfect for direct drive and or put in serie with another driver (like the 8 AMC7135 board) ?
I tried the D2DIM with 10xAMC7135 & 8xAMC7135 powered by 1 AW C li-ion & I couldn't get close the rated current. Guess there's no other way around having to use 4 NiMhs with those boards.
