Sky Lumen Tange Prefected

Re: Tange V2 - Yikes!

I goofed.

Yesterday, I was playing with the V2 out doors and accidently dropped it on the concrete. I panicked a little. Reached down and picked it up. Not one scratch, not a mark, not even a spot on the light that was dirty from the drop.

It's little but mighty.

Yes: I've put mine in the freezer (both on and off), left it in a glass of water (both on an off), have done another hundred or so tosses on to lightly carpeted floor, full discharge/charge many times. Still looks/functions perfectly.

Just a great small practical light.

Now, that's gutsy. I wouldn't have taken that chance.

Re: Tange V2 - Yikes!

I received my Tange a couple of weeks ago and have played with it a lot. I have two other similar sized lights...the Mecarmy Bl47vn and the Nighteye Mini1vn. The Bl47 throws the farthest and the Tange the least but this is probably because of the diffused lens on the Tange. What is impressive to me about the Tange is the runtime. I walk my dog for at least an hour every night and the Tange made a whole walk plus on medium setting. I also had the Tange dangling from my wrist a lot of the time where it banged on logs while gather firewood for the house, on pitchforks while feeding cows and shovel while clearing snow. The Tange is a more practical light to hold and use for tasks around the house than the other two. Very happy with this little light. Thanks Vinh

Re: Tange V2 - Yikes!

Shipped about 60 V2. No report of issues yet. I think we got a winner. Next batch coming with my logo lasered.

Re: Tange V2 - Yikes!

1st Tange reported acting up. Its coming back to me. I will report what I find when its here.

How's everyone's Tange running?

Re: Tange V2 - Yikes!

Mine has survived my daughter throwing it in her bath. I let her use her sofirn c01 and her E01vn for underwater exploration duties and her 3 year old mind registered that as "any flashlight can go to the bath with me" wife didn't know the difference but...... it survived.

Re: Tange V2 - Yikes!

OK I got News:

Bad News: 1st dead Tange V2 just came back
Bad News: Battery was 2.5V. Sitting on external charger to charge up now
Good News: Circuit seem to work great and operate as it should
Better News: Tange V2 cell is FAT no wonder it has great runtime
Great News: Battery is relative easily upgrade-able in the future should its needed like this case.
Excellent News: HCRI LEDs options coming with Batch 2 ;-)

Re: Tange V2 - Yikes!

So I got no idea why the cell in this Tange was over discharged. Its working fine now. Charges and everything works as it should. I will test it out some more to see if it act up again.
