SL Stinger LED mod with Edison KLC8 ***beamshots***

Just received my Edison KLC8 LED and swapped it with the Luxeon 3 in my other SL Stinger LED. This is my second Stinger LED mod and the first was with the Seoul P4 LED. Its here..... http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=153407

Not too bad. The Seoul P4 seems to have better throw but the Edison KLC8 seems to have better spill and not as much throw. I will let the BEAMSHOTS! do the rest of the talking so here ya go!

Not that it is really a logical step forward, but can I fit a K2 LED into the Stinger (will it work?)

I have never modded anything with the K2 but it should work. The K2 also has 4 leads and by looking at the pic of the board on the Stinger LED it should facilitate it fine.

Personally I have been contemplating modding a Stinger LED with 3 Seoul SSC LEDs or Crees.

Correct. It looks as though 3 smaller reflectors could fit in the head.
