SL20XP LED Chargers

I have one of these lights, which was orphaned from its charger. I had the light in a regular Streamlight charger, but the battery is now kaput. What I don't know is if the battery is bad, or just run down, or is the charger bad, or did the charger kill the battery. The light is an emergency light I keep in the bedroom next to the Mossberg. Since the light has no charge indicator, I can't tell.

The black charging sleeve should work for any of the SL-20X(P) variants. I have a SL-20XP (Polymer, non-LED) and a SL-20X (Aluminum,LED) and they both work fine in the charger. The SL-20X has little red lights near the switch that light up when I stick it in the charger.
