Small portable holder for Surefire lamp and 4 123A\'s
I was trying to figure out the most compact and convenient way to carry an extra Surefire lamp assembly and 4 123A's for my 6P and 9P. After some experimenting, I took a standard Streamlight Scorpion holster, stretched it out a bit, put the lamp assembly in face down (no problem because of recessed lamp, then tucked 4 123A's down around it, shortened the nylon flap by folding it over and sticking Velcro on the newly created surface, and sewing it all together and looping to my belt, It looks great and is tiny; 4 1/4" long.
I found that it also will hold a UK MINI Q40 lamp assembly and four AA's.
If you want, you can also cut a piece of cardboard to fit right over the face of the lamp assembly, and either tape it or just let the LA sit on it, with the weight and slight pressure of the batteries and closed flap keeping it stable.
Hope it helps somebody.
Best regards,
