Converted the MagCharger to 1160 bulb and Ginseng batter pack. Great light, but still have the nasty beam pattern. Could someone share with me the best way to smooth out the beam without sacrificing too much throw/brightness? Tks.

a "Light orange peel" or "Medium orange peel" reflector is what you need. do a search for LOP or MOP and you should come up with plenty of results.

Hallis,

The Magcharger is a unique animal in that it does not used the stock type reflector associated with other mags. Therefore using an LOP, MOP, or HOP is much more difficult.

The MagCharger uses a special high temp plastic cage holding a spun reflector.

The use of another reflector requires that the stock reflector be removed and a Carley reflector substituted, but is more complicated than it sounds.

There is a thread by udaman with my pictures of a tutorial on how to remove the stock reflector of the MC, which you can look up using Magcharger reflector and udaman from August of last year, though udaman has decided not to host the pictures anymore, apparently.

You can then swap in a Carley, but it takes a little modding of the Carley to make it fit correctly.
