Snap-On tools "Sunlite Slim"??

This flashlight has uses 2 AAA batteries and has a very bright flood at close range. Does anyone have any experience with them? They run about $40 and you can only get them off of the Snap-On truck.

They have a push button on the tail cap for on/off function and they come with a pocket clip. The LED head unscrews so you can replace the batteries.

Has anyone dealt with these lights before?

Snap-On should stock the UV X5 for coolant and AC leak detection, I mean if their gonna be ripping people off on them anyway.

no clue about second light, but first light is not a $30 light. Snap-on's version is hard anodized and looks very similar to a special military HA version sold by battery station for $90.

that said... I'm a Snap-on nut ... for hand tools only. Snap-on electronic goods are sometimes mfg by someone else.

It's a direct copy of an Inova X5T, which is HA-III, and is actually one of the hardest HA-III coats on any light out there. Inova is known for their incredibly good anodizing. And yes, the X5 commonly sells for $30.

if that's the case, then I stand corrected. sure thought only the military version was HA.

Except for the Radiant and Microlight, all Inovas are HA-III.

BTW, the second light linked is a copy of an Inova XO3, which does sell elsewhere for ~$60.

Are those just re-badged Inovas or knock-offs?

Here is the website for the light I was talking about. http://powerledlighting.com/

I have the Sunlite Slim...very bright flood at close up range.

I was simply curios if anyone else has used these before.

I contacted them awhile back, to try and purchase it off of the website, and they said they only sell it from the Snap-On truck.

Edit: They do sell from their website.

I bought one from my Snap On guy, it is amazing.
I called Sunlite and they said you can buy from their site or via phone, I also inquired as to what led they use and the person I spoke to said it was made by them.

It is very well made and really not a penlight at all, it's a flashlight. My heavily used and beloved modded Stylus has been retired and I am not so concerned with having a flashlight on my person with this riding in my pocket.

It gets quite warm but not hot, and really puts out light for such a tiny led. The beam is not a white wall hunters dream but very useful in real world applications.

I tried to get a shot of the tiny led but this is the best I could do.
