That got 'my' Leef 3x18650 HA NAT body from lighthound tonight?

Added it to my cart, spent a few minutes looking around the site to see if there was anything else to add to my order, then all of a sudden it was gone, whisked out of my cart, out of stock error message.

Now I have a newly acquired KT4 with no purpose, 3 IMR 18650s on the way from AW and a LF IMR-M6 on the way from LF, what a waste of money.

Gutted.

Yes, trying to figure that out now.

I see LF list a C to M adapter, I wonder if this would allow the 3x18650 HA NAT C to C body (that is still in stock at LH) to fit a KT4, does anyone know?

Alternatively I could get a 3x18650 BK C-C and use the LF lamp in my KT2, although that still leaves a slightly underutilised KT4 in the draw.

Here's a question, what is the best lamp to run on two IMR-18650s? I have a black leef 2x18650 C-C with a KT2, so could at least use 2 of the IMR cells on the way from AW in this. LF list the IMR M3T at 700 lumens, I'm assuming that would be a good choice? I do have an MN16 as well, but that would be excessively overdriven on IMRs, wouldn't it?

And I thought I had a plan all figured out!

I was running the IMR M3T w/ IMR 18650s and it was pretty freakin awesome.

Maybe Fivemega has Megalenniums available?

I can understand you are dissapointed you missed out on that Leef body, but you are clearly not the only flashaholic on the internets. Your post and title seem to suggest you blame that person and think he should cancel his buy or sell it to you instead...
Dissapointment I can understand, anger however not...

Haha, I feel your pain. :) Put a "want to buy" in the Marketplace. One should turn up soon, best of luck. I know you'll love the setup once you get it.

that sucks... but thats how it works.

Its not my light pictured, but the TLS-T5 might suit you. Although its typeIII color is more gray than olive. I am not sure if they sell just the body parts by themselves, but it shouldn't be too hard to part out what you dont need on the marketplace.

Every now and then an M4 body shows up on the marketplace. I think that can be bored for 18650. Keep your chin up Leef bodies show up on the marketplace every now and then.

I think it's a cultural thing, but that's not what I think the poster was insinuating. I'm not from NZ, but I interpreted the poster as wanting to call the culprit a "*******" in a friendly way, like if your friend's sports team beat your sports team in mildly underhanded, but legal way. I could be wrong, but that's my interpretation. I thought his post was mildly funny, and a good way to lightheartedly seek suggestions on how to get out of his bind.

Yes, that was pretty much the intent, sorry if that didn't come across in the post.

I certainly don't expect anyone to cancel their order! lol, you know the old saying, you snooze, you lose.

Has anyone used the Lumens Factory seraph C-M adapter? If that allows a KT4 to be fitted to a Leef C-C that might be a good solution.

My Leef HA natural 3x18650 c-m body arrived yesterday and it is a monster!! Ha ha you waited too long my friend. :nana:After learning that these were 25% off at Lighthound (just sign up for the newsletter) I had been waiting patiently as well until I saw chatter on the Leef threads here at CPF. I could sense a run on the HA Naturals so I pounced.

www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?p=3263666

Alternately you could still purchase one of the remaining HA black or raw aluminum 3x18650 c-m bodies or the Leef M adapter neck with the 3x18650 c-c body that Lighthound still has in stock (please confirm with Lighthound that this will work prior to purchase).

Are the leef M adapter necks you mention available? I was looking at the Leef C-C in HA NAT as a possible solution if I can get an adapter.

I thought about the raw and the black, but that's an expensive compromise that doesn't really provide the finished item I am looking for.

Talking of compromises, I've just ordered a Fivemega 68mm extension tube to use with my existing Leef 2x18650 BK body and KT2, so at least I can use the lamp assembly and the three IMR18650s I've got on the way. That was a less expensive compromise until I can get a HA NAT 3x18650 M body.

Does that fit C series bodies though? Reading the text about it, it seems to be for the 'Big Leef' bodies, which take the 26xxx size cells. I wouldn't have thought the diameter would have been correct?

I've sent Lumens Factory an email asking them about their M series adapter to confirm that it fits SF M heads and C bodies.

No, you are correct, that adapter Lighthound carries is specifially for the Big Leef system and won't work on C bodies. But the the Lumens Factory Seraph M Adapter (found here: http://www.lumensfactory.com/cart_detail.php?id=118) will work with C series bodies. That's why they refer to it as a "C to M adapter" in the description. This is a very nice option. I chose to use the C to M adapter from a SF LF3 head on this Milky build because I really like the simple, clean look. Both are very good options though.

Well somehow lightound have more 3x18650 HA-NAT C to M heads in stock...

Really thought that would have been the last, anywhere. Must have been a box out the back somewhere with some more.

Still showing in stock (after I just ordered mine).

Lamp from lumens factory turned up today and so did the IMR cells from AW.

Got the head and an SW01 tail cap, just waiting on the body now.

Lol. well nothing's ever as simple as you think.

Turns out that although the FM 68mm extension fits the leef perfectly, makes electrical contact with no problem, the whole assembly is now too long!

3xIMR18650s sit a good 15-18mm down inside the tube, so that the tail cap spring can not make contact with the base of the battery.

Measuring the length of the IMR 18650s I've found they are approx 2mm shorter than the AW 18650s, which over the length of three cells is in the region of 6mm. That seems to be enough to make the difference between it working and not.

Oh well... lets hope the leaf body that's on it's way doesn't suffer the same problem!
