Would you recommend Sofrin flashlight and which one? The zoomable function looks appealing to me and I was originally looking at either a maglite xl50 or mini with the soft white, if you see my other post.

Sofirn are surprisingly good lights for the price, depending on what you're after.
I got a SF15, SF16, IF22A, IF23 and Q8+, plus a SP40 headlamp.

Nothing I would trust to be reliable over time if I were doing serious work, but as backup EDCs, sure.
If I were to buy one Sofirn light now, I think I would get the SP35. Not a big fan of 6500K, but it's 21700 and seems to be a good light.

EDIT:
Only Sofirn zoomie I've seen is the S11C. Bought one for a friend, and the beam was much better than most Coast / Led Lenser zoom lights I've seen. Little shadowing and almost none of that quare die image you when fully zoomed in.

Personally, not a fan of zoom lights. It's inherently a weak point in the construction.

If your preference is zoom capability, I would recommend Convoy Z1 https://convoylight.com/products/convoy-z1-21700-flashlight-zoomable
There are many emitter options including "soft" or lower CCT to suit your preferences.

Sofirn is a great budget light brand with good variety. I have several in my collection. My only suggestion is to steer clear of any model with SST-40 emitters. The tints in their most recent bins are horrid green.

Sofirn is the Cold Steel of the flashlight market. You can buy a "better" light but how much more will it cost you? My Olight Warrior mini3 was put out of service by using it in 16f weather, my Sofirn SC31 pro works like new after surviving -13f. At 1/3 the price. Flashlights are tools. Do you need Craftsman or Snap-On. In this case Sofirn earns the Snap-On title. I use my Warrior more often because of a feature not because it's a "better" light, it's a better tool for my job.

I don't buy by brand, I buy by need

I’ve only got one Sofirn, an SC18. For a budget oriented light, it’s pretty good.

However, like most Sofirn lights, it has built in USB-C charging. This in itself isn’t an issue, but I’m not a fan of the little rubber cover for for the charging port. I broke mine off pretty quickly.

I still have the cover, but it’s only a matter of time before it’s lost. I know a lot of lights have these rubber USB covers, so this so this isn’t particularly a gripe with Sofirn. It’s just something worth bearing in mind.
