Hi, I just got my nice new Solarforce L2-M. I drop my IMR-9 dropin in, and click-wait-what? I click again. The switch is soft, and merely makes a pop sound as a press it. Nothing happens. Its like the switch is empty or something. Help?:(

First I would try to tighten the retaining ring inside of the tailcap. (Use tweezers, or small needle-nose pliers.) If that does not work email the vendor and ask for a new switch. If you have another switch you could swap them to confirm a defective switch. You could also remove the tailcap and connect the end of the battery tube and the battery with a paper clip. If the light comes on, the switch is defective. Be sure to choose a place on the tube that is not anodized. Good luck. :candle:

Yep, its defective. I used a strip of tin foil, but it didn't work for a while, so I looked at the bulb, THEN it decides to come on. 500 lumens in the eye. Still have a black spot right now lol.

I pulled the switch out, and yeah, its soft, not doing anything. Too bad I don't keep extra switches knocking around.... :sssh::shakehead

If you don't think you'll have too much trouble installing it, I'll send you one. PM me and let me know.

I'm having trouble with my solarforce l2r tailcap and I was hoping to get a look at it but it won't open for me.
Is there some trick to these? I've opened Fenix, 4Sevens, Romisen, etc tailcaps with needle nose pliers, but this one won't budge.
