SOLD

Here I have up for sale my most prized light. A very special LunaSol27C (clicky pak) with a XM-L main emitter. This is as far as i know the only LunaSol with an XM-L emitter. It is also the only LunaSol with a 2-speed flood. Emitter swaps and circuit swaps on LunaSols are difficult and costly. This light does everything I wanted an EDC type light to do. A very very low flood and low flood, and medium to high XM-L power. I purposely chose the Piglet over a GdUP board as I felt the lowest setting on the 3-speed GDuP board to overlap with the flood and make it redundant/unnecessary.

The light's Piglet board is no longer available for sale and you can read more about it's history and user interface here: (http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb...-Piglet-boards-for-sale&p=1916980#post1916980) which runs the XM-L at 150mA and 850mA (perfect drive levels for medium and high, IMHO). The Nichia 3mm leds on the perimeter are original. The light has 4 modes total. 2 modes for the six 3mm Nichia perimter leds and 2 modes for the XM-L. The light is not mint, but in very good overall condition. If you're looking for a mint specimen, this is not for you. The blems are not easily visible, but can be seen when closely examining the light. It has a few horizontal scratches in the flutes (not sure how they got there as the light was only used around the house) and the normal Ti scratches from use. There is also a very small pin-sized blemish on the tail end (see the last 3 pictures). Other than that, it is very nice. The front of the reflector has also been polished smooth as the Orange Peel stippling was bothering me. I think it looks great now.

Here are a few Beamshots (Please forgive my amateur beamshot abilities. The camera auto balanced the XM-L shots due to the intensity)

Low Flood (extra low to aid in preserving night vision):party::party::

High Flood (standard LunaSol27 flood brightness):

Low XM-L (150mA):

High XM-L (850mA) :devil::devil::devil::

Here is the User Interface (UI): Twist to the Kilroy for low flood. Click for high flood. Keep switch clicked and twist more to engage low XM-L. And a quick depress of switch and click to increase level of XM-L.

I'm asking $850 $840 $835 $830 $825 shipped via USPS Priority + Signature Confirmation. U.S. buyers only. PM me with questions and/or offers. First to post "I'll Take It" in this thread gets priority over all other communication. Insurance is additional. I'll have to double check with the post officeaforementioned the exact amount. I am not responsible if the package is damaged or lost during shipping if insurance is not purchased. Insurance is always recommended to cover these situations.

Are the modes programmable as per the linked thread.

If so, this is a ridiculously cool mod.

Obi,

It was programable by (only) Goldserve originally. We decided prior to purchase what drive levels the board would be programmed to. It is now fixed at 150mA/850mA as far as I know.

Are you prepared to open this sale to non us buyers?

I had several PM's regarding the beams, so I took a few beamshots of the 4 levels to give you an idea. What I find very pleasing is how close the tints are from the 3mm Nichias to the XM-L.

edit: also price drop to $825 shipped

So twisting the head gets you from low to high range...but how do you switch the levels? Do they have memory for the last mode but also switch then with a short blink? Or do they alternate in sequence L to H to L to H? I followed the link provided, but now I am wondering if both low and high have a Piglet circuit? Can the flood come on in low while the XML comes on in high? I am only trying to understand the circuits. Either way, since the XML is so much brighter, the point is mute.

Bump for a very unique McGizmo.

You can always access either low or high flood by twisting the head until it contacts the Kilroy. The determining factor is if the McClicky is engaged. When the switch is not engaged, it will be low flood. If it is engaged, it will be high flood. Regarding the XM-L, the flood will always be high. The piglet has 5 menus, I believe. Depending on which menu you are currently in, the light will remember to either start at 150mA or 850mA. It's up to the user to set which level to start at.

I have it currently set at menu 1, so the XM-L will start at 150mA and with a quick depress and press of the switch, it will go to 850mA.

Whoa, see! That is some sophisticated workings! Any other PD light I know of will not light if the McClicky is not engaged on the C-Pak. That is cool. Not sure how that works, but that is cool.

Still not sure I get it, as now the Piglet does have menus...where I thought you mentioned earlier that you had the choice only in beginning when buying the driver. Now it sounds like indeed you do have multiple UIs more or less.

It would do your sales thread loads of good to lay this out for buyers. If there are five menus, you need to let us know what they are all about. That link is old, and not at all specific to your light.

And I am still confused as to how the low can come on if the McClicky is not engaged. Weird.

Re: [Another $ DROP] Lunasol27C XM-L Piglet 4-speed (2 speed flood - 2 speed XM-L)

Here are the 5 menus (from the link in the OP):

1. LOW - HIGH - LOW - HIGH - LOW - HIGH - OFF - SET_UI
2. HIGH - LOW - HIGH - LOW - HIGH - LOW - OFF - SET_UI
3. (LOW) - (HIGH) - STROBE - BEACON - OFF - OFF - SET_UI
4. LOW - HIGH - STROBE - BEACON - OFF - SET_UI
5. STROBE - HIGH - LOW - SOS - OFF - SET_STROBE - SET_UI

The choice we had prior to purchasing was the current levels the board was programed to. I chose 150mA / 850mA. This cannot be changed by the user, only Goldserve as far as I know. In menu 1, for example, the light will switch between low and high 3 times prior to entering menu changing. This is deliberate to keep you from accidentally entering the menu and if you don't want to ever activate strobe, beacon, or SOS. You will have to quickly press and depress 7 times prior to entering the menu. This effectively makes it a 2 speed board. In menu 2, it is the opposite by starting on high. If you ever want Strobe, Beacon, or SOS, Menus 3-5 will allow that. It's only complicated when changing the lights overall features by setting it to a different menu. Once the menu is set, it's as simple as a Surefire 2-speed board. It is currently set to menu 1 and works as a low 150mA / high 850mA 2-speed circuit.

Most users will either want menu 1 or 2. Depending on if they want to start with low or high. I feel the light is setup perfectly right now (menu 1) as it allows you to incrementally get more light as you need it. Starting from low flood all the way up to high XM-L. There is no guess work as with other multi level lights with memory. The light will always start at the level you previously set it to, and you can access the flood or spot levels at will.
