The issue was that the positive contact was partially covered with an excess glue that is used to adhere the cusion sponge to the PCB. I cleaned up the goo and put a drop of solder on the positive and it is now flicker free and working great. (to my knowledge)
I also sanded the LED because I couldn't stand the purple ring produced by the GS and the beam looks much better in my opinion.
Please consider this as a modified light and don't expect any warranty service from Arc. Again I am selling this as a kit.
