Please accept my appology, it was not my intention to make you feel bad. Please understand though, that certain areas of any forum have it's purpose - my ferrari factory analogy explained this.
I told you to "read" and learn not to "shut up" and learn and I most definitely stand by my statement.
Lets leave this thread to the TK61vn 3.5 subject like it is intended and not go into a flame war. I'm sure that other members will be willingful to share their knowledge with you, I admit that I might have overreacted a bit.

Also post count dont relate to knowledge. I have observed some members that started to participate after I started here that have more post than me because they are "commentators" to other people post.

I have been learning about flashlights for a good part of my adult life. Just because your post count is bigger than others doesnt mean is ok to ridicule them and jump unto the conclusion that they are complete ignorant. There is a lot of great people here that share a lot of good information and thats the reason why I participate here, I share my own info if I am knowledgeable on the subject/question . I dont need an apology from you but this forum needs a better attitude from you. Thank you

Thats why I explained to him that this swap would be dumb in this light and I gave him the reasoning.

The opposite. I wanted to avoid making him the victim any further. Untill you came in your shiny armour to "save the day" And start a flame war in which I will not take part any further out of respect for Vinh's time and this threads intended subject.

Everybody is entitled to their own opinion and if you think a TK61vn with an MTG2 is dumb good for you. Is your opinion valid for everyone here in this forum? Thats a good question. I know I am not the only one that would be very interested in a TK61vn MTG2 that's why I stated that it could be a good seller. I know that Vinh was lacking the driver in the past for this modification but that could change.

Like I stated before we dont need personal attacks on this forum.

dedome mtg2 in tk61 driven hard. i would cry with excitement. i bet that would push 350 - 400kcd with a massive hotspot !!!

I feel a TK61 w/ an MTG2 would *probably* be the closest led light there is to a good HID.

Wow it seems there is always heat when I am not around.

Anyhow, I have not considered the MTG2 in the TK61 for a couple of reason.

1) Drivers availability
2) I was never a big fan of the MTG2 for throwers lights

However both of the point above is no longer the case. A TK61vn MTG2 is definitely on the table. However, there are a few projects that I have been working on and I am very excited to release them first. :-)

I dont think theres a way with todays LED technology to get close to a good HID in terms of throw. It would be possible if the MT-G2 was say 10 times smaller then it is right now with the same brightness.
That is why I don't see a point of putting a huge, floody emitter into a throwy reflector.
