Lux at 1m = 25 times lux at 5 metres. Although for aspherics it would be better to measure from at least 10metres.

if you ever make one of these in a Surefire 6P, I'd be all over it 🙂

If 1m/1lux=5m/25lux=10m/Xlux

and 5(X)=25(10) ---> X = 50lux

So measure at 10 then divide by 50?

6P size aspheric cant focus the light as intense.

Rats! Thanks anyway

Re: vinhnguyen54 Budget Aspheric XRE-R2 Single Mode 3-6V 2.1A Zoomable THROWER

If you measure at 5m then multiply by 25 since 5 x 5 is 25. If you measure at 10m then multiply by 100. If you measure at 7m then multiply by 49. If you measure at 3m then multiply by 9. 🙂

if you tweak the dbst aspheric in any way and the results are promising I'll definitely take it 🙂

There is nothing much to do....Just a new Driver. I am trying to find a copper pill and PCB for the EZ900 though. So far it throws like crazy as is.

Re: vinhnguyen54 Budget Aspheric XRE-R2 Single Mode 3-6V 2.1A Zoomable THROWER

Just measured my Tn31 at 7M and got 155K lux. This is twice as high as Selfbuilt's. May be I need a larger distance?

I know. So it seems as though there are some extra special TN31's out there.
