I have the emt-4 1w LED. You cant find another 1W led that can beat it with the price. I buy it at a store with US$8.7 only include battery.

However, The colour of most of this led has very yellowish or purple color like the old KL1. It use a 20 mm optic(no side spill), direct drive, poor heat dissipate.
Anyway, still a great deal~

Why don't the Chinese companies just go to the next step and make a 6 D light (or a lantern battery light) with 50 or 100 LEDs on it? Sell it as a combination light/space heater?

the emt-4 1W flashlight runs for <2hrs bright and then goes dimmer and dimmer for another couple of hrs.

It is brighter than my two KL1 and even my L1...for less than $10 /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon3.gif
It's an inexpensive way for the general public to access the territory of LED, IMO.

The main problem of the light is 'heat' while you can DIY some means to sink it.

sylvestor: I've seen the link posted before, and if it's a 1W off a single CR2 battery, I'd expect maybe 15 lumens for an hour or two before it goes below 50% brightness. It looks kinda like a Nuwai, though it could also be a no-name light.
