1. Are SF batts made by Panasonic, also are they Made in Japan or US ?
2. Does anyone offer really good deals on the SF batts perhaps even throw
in free shipping (ok a bit much too ask :sssh: )

3. Would you reccomend SF batts or would you say other brands such as
Sanyo are just as good?

4. Are the run times on these batts good, I've heard some of the poorer
cheaper CR123a's offer average runtime.

5. Looking at Ebay US as sometimes they've got good SF batt deals like a
box of 25, 30 etc.

Thanks

Usually the best price is from the web. The best price I have ever found on 123 batteries in a store was last week at Lowes, $ 4.90 for a two pack of Surefire batteries.

A good place to start would be this thread....

My recommendation, and quite likely that of many CPF members, would be....

http://www.batterystation.com/cr123a.htm

Their own branded cells.
Quality, price and service all from the same place.

+ good rates on international shipping :)
I was thinking about buying a box of batterystations own mark, and as you said, people recomend those?

But my real question is, will they fit in my fenix tk10?

EDIT; By the way, is there any shop like this in europe?

Yes, they work fine in the TK10, as well as the P3D. Sorry I have no idea about European purchases.

I use the batterystation made in USA batteries. They seem identical to the Surefire and Panasonic (black label made in USA) batteries.

Albinoni,

If you use the CPF discount you get a box of 50 for $50 + $14 for postage. Works out to under $75 AUD delivered for 50 top quality batteries. Sell some to your mates or have HUGE supply for the TK10. I have looked long and hard and it is by far the best value I could find for us Aussies.

Yes, they will fit in a TK10, or any light designed for CR123A.

Yes, there are shops in Europe where you could buy a box of 50 high quality CR123A, but none that I am aware of can compare in terms of quality/price.

If you're in Europe, just email Kevin at batterystation, say you were on CPF, ask for the box of 50 for $50, plus $15 shipping, confirm the Paypal address to send the payment, and he will most likely have the package on the way to you the same day.

Thank you, I will order a box right away.

I will email him, this sounds like a great deal!

EDIT; Why i asked about if they will fit in my tk10 was because different brands of cr123as may diff in size.

Yes, batterystation branded CR123A, and all others I have used, fit just fine in the TK10.

You may have read stories of certain CR123A not quite fitting in certain lights, but these stories refer to certain brands and types of RCR123A, rechargeables, which do sometimes have slightly different dimensions.

I am not aware of any case where a user has bought a light designed for CR123A, then found a CR123A primary (disposable) battery that didn't fit, unless maybe it was a real cheapy bad quality cell.

And thank you for cleaning up this matter:twothumbs

Yes they seem to look and perform just like the Surefire Cr123 (the red ones are the only batteries surefire make).

To access the CPF member price use the link in this thread:

http://www.cpfmarketplace.com/mp/showthread.php?t=181841

It is the third link down. Click on "battery Station". When you order there is a spot to include your CPF user name.

Most of the batteries on Ebay are Chinese brands. I'd avoid them and stick to more well regarded/tested US brands.

I'm over in Central Victoria (couldn't be much further from Perth). Currently using SF 6P + Malkoff M60, Leef 1 x 18650 + Dereelight 1S LED, Leef 2 x 18500 + LF EO9, Solarforce L2 + Dereelight Q25A 1S LED, Dereelight DBS, WE Sniper, WE Rattlesnake, Fenix TK11, Nitecore D10, Fenix L2T, Zebralight H30, PT EOS modded with SSCP4..........

I don't use heaps of primaries so I kept what I wanted and guys from work took the rest of my hands. A box of 50 for $75 AUD delivered is great value. As you would know $75 would buy about 10 batteries at Australian retail prices.

Thanks alot for the info. Now I did have a good look at battery station and they have got quite a good variety including their own brand as well. But wow the Sanyo's are the most expensive and how they compare against the others I dont really know but I do know that Sanyo do make good batteries thats for sure. BTW which brand did you buy foe $75. Also looking at the Energizer EL123A for $75/box of 50.

The battery Station brand. They are made in USA and when compared side by side to a Surefire a Panasonic (black label made in USA) appear identical. Rumor has it they are all made in the same factory and the label is the the only thing that makes them different. I'd suggest you read this thread:

http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=67078&highlight=shootout

The battery station brand are listed as "Battery Station 2007". (The previous version were made in China). They rank very highly. They performed better that the energizers in all tests so I would be saving $25 and going for the Battery Station ones.

If you follow the link to the CPF only section you will find them for $50 for 50 batteries. Then it is $14 for international shipping. Works out to about $75 AUD.
