First::

Just because some schmo prints a Shipping Label doesn't mean the item actually shipped.
The moment USPS or UPS ect. scans it in, then & only then will a 'Item Shipped' email generated

Second::

'In Stock' means you actually have the item on hand,,, NOT that you might be able to get it from somewhere else, after you have my money.
This bs about not updating inventory excuse sellers/vendors spurt while holding your money,, then say "Would you like something else?"
There needs to be some monetary punishment or similar to offenders of this loophole.

These two are somewhat related, but not exclusively__

I agree completely!
Awhile back, ordered a Rothco skeletonized neck knife from some Rescue/Safety equipment website I'd never heard of before. Took months to ship out to me. When I called, their customer service operator screwed up and let it slip that they never had the knife In-stock despite showing that it was. They were currently in the process of ordering it for me. She actually let it slip that THAT was common practice with a lot of their items.

The one thing I despise with online shops, unless you're dealing with a shop hosted on Etsy, you have no clue if you're dealing with a large, established business, or a couple of individuals selling out of a storage unit, with a separate phone-line at their house.

Also, if the Postal delivery guy can't drop off your package, they leave a slip saying where you can pick it up.... along with a date when it can be picked up.

Not UPS! They leave out that last part. So apparently, despite leaving a slip where you can go get it from, you have to wait after 3pm if the slip was left that day! I didn't know. I do now! Hate the way these places do things.
