Something is wrong with my new Noctigon K1 thrower

So I just got my new Noctigon K1 thrower with the W1 led about a week ago and have played with it for less than ten minutes total. And I charged the battery before putting it in.

Today I decided to try it out while it was still light out. I turned it on in my car on turbo aimed at the floor and it was not super bright so I decided to look into the beam and I didn't even see stars. LoL. I tried that with my 70,000 something candela Fenix and I had to immediately look away.

I unscrewed the tail cap to reset it then tried it again with the same results. Anyone have an idea what I can try?

It's a very bad idea to look into any activated flashlight let alone one with high lumens/candela.

I forgot to mention that the button is staying lit up now even with the light off.

Okay I just loosened the head from the body and left it like that for about 5 minutes and the light returned to its original configuration and the turbo is back :)

Looks like I shouldn't have gotten so excited. It's doing the same thing again and it won't go to the turbo with momentary on mode anymore :-(

Do you have this chart saved? Just super helpful for me.
To your specific problem, I had the same issues with these lights early on. Solved it by REALLY cranking down the head and tail cap. Seriously tight. I mean really as tight as you can by hand.

Sadly those charts just go right over my head, I have no clue how to read them.

And I'm pretty sure the head and tail cap are as tight as they can get without causing any damage.

A W1 K1 is not going to look that bright. It gets the throw from the type of LED used + the shape & size of the reflector/head. The button light being on means you are not in simple mode as it is an advanced mode feature. To turn off the button unscrew the body to break contact ; press the button & hold it down while you screw in the body. The light will flash, only then release the button & you'll be back in simple mode

Sorry I forgot to mention that the turbo with momentary on worked at first. When I shined it on the floor of my car I could tell it was much dimmer than turbo.

I did break the contact between the head and body and let it sit for about 5 minutes then tightening everything brought it back to the simple mode where you hold in the button to increase brightness and hold it again to decrease it.

So I tried the 5 click from off to get the turbo momentary mode back but no luck.

The battery was fully charged before I put it in and it has less than ten minutes total runtime.

5 clic (Momentary Last Used Mode) is not the best way to get momentary turbo, because 5C gives momentary mode only at the last used brightness. Plus, if the light is in Simple mode that feature does not work at all. Anyway I suggest you ignore the 5C Momentary Last Used output feature.

Instead, I suggest you use 6 clic from off (Tactical Momentary). This will give you momentary Turbo.

When you want to go back to normal operation you can do 6C from off again. (you do not need to unscrew the light to disable it, though that also works)

I dont blame you for feeling lost when looking at a flowchart. They make no sense unless you have read The Online Manual. But here is a visual aide highlighting in Red the Tactical Momentary feature, and how to turn off the button ligh, if you want to:

I can explain how to turn off the button light if you dont understand how, after reading the manual or looking at that flowchart, but lets do one thing at a time.

Did 6C from Off work, to give you momentary Turbo?

If not, we can solve that..
just post a reply and I will see it here.
To explain... there is no 6C function in Simple mode, we will first have to teach you how to get to Advanced mode.. The manual explains that, but if you find the wall of words overwhelming, I will walk you through the process.

Dont despair, we can get your light to work the way you want. I am the Anduril Evangelist and your light will soon be saved.. Keep the faith, LOL ;-)

Yes the 6 clicks got me to turbo mode. Thank you again for all of your help.

Ok so the light is off now and the button blinks blue about every 4 seconds. How do I stop that from happening?

7 clicks will advance the Aux lights to the next mode, which is Low - High - Blink (You are here) - Off.

So when I go to tactical momentary mode do I do seven more clicks again to turn off the blinking light?

7 clicks from off. Do not hold. Do it again if needed to get what you want.

Obviously I'm not understanding :-(

I did the 6 clicks to get the tactical momentary turbo mode, then While off I did the 7 clicks to get the button to stop blinking blue but it still is.

glad you got Tactical to work ;-)

get out of Tactical first..

then do 7 clics from off..

the Aux LEDs have 4 options and they rotate in this sequence for each 7C
1. low,
2. 7clics gives high,
3, 7 clics gives blink,
4. 7 clics gives Off

since your light is already in Blink, you just need to do 7 clics one time

good luck! ;-)
