Co-worker who started here a few years ago was born and raised in South Africa. He makes his own biltong, which is a traditional South African version of beef jerky. Heavily spiced and vinegary. He makes it in his house, dries it, cuts it up, and has brought me a bag every now and then. This time, he gave me a whole hunk before he cut it up. Enjoying this at work today...

It's definitely different. The tangy vinegar taste turns some people off, but I love it. and of course it's MEAT which I'll always go for.
 
Looks good. If I want some exotic jerky, I get the gluten free Golden Island Korean Barbecue pork jerky from Costco. Now that stuff is good.
 
He could make a good side business selling that delicious meaty treat.
