Space Cannon Delux

Perhaps if the price is right you may want to do a group buy if they want to give us a discount for ordering a bunch.

Ahhh, those Italians...I care not, I don't even make'em any more and have posted direction sfor everyone on how to build their own (though admittedly not with strobing or that "Economy" Level as this Cannon appears to have), but perhaps Maglite's lawyers would want to make a call. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crackup.gif

No response from them yet. I'd love to do a group buy, it seems like an amazing product. Especially since the Lux V is soon going to be out of production.

That looks an awfull lot like a magmod with Spacecannon written on the bezel instead of Ontario California. LOL

Kinda neat that it recharges without removing the batteries. Take 6hours to recharge so might be a Pila in there or somthing a bit larger than a couple R123s. Just my guess /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I'd guess that Maglight knows it's profitable to supply OEM bodies to others.
It also lets the others do the R&D needed to make a new product.
When they get it right and get a market then the Mag version can hit the market at a lower price. As Adam Osbourne pointed out "It's easy to see who the pioneers are, they are the ones with the arrows in their butts."

Cromagnet: the batteries are two Lithium Ion, 3.7V, 2x2Ah, and it includes a battery charge indicator in the tail cap, auto switching to economy mode. It puts out 240 Lux at more than 16 ft. (5 meters), and will strobe from 7-9 Hz at 300 Lux.

The ability to change focus really interests me, I can't figure out how much adjustment you can get moving such a short light source like an LED in and out of a reflectors sweetspot ?

It sounds like a Space Needle meets Rechargeable, meets Arc 4+, with variable focus !

I have a feeling if the price isn't outrageous quite a few of us would want one.

On the other hand, knowing the Italians (I lived in Italy for 8 years) and considering the current Euro exchange rate, my guess is that these things are going to be about $400-$500.

More than what it's worth ? Probably. I'll e-mail again !

hmmm I does look nice and sound nice and I'd be interested, am interested in it. It just looks like a magmod that someone would design on CPF. I surprised they don't or wont get sued. At least those are my initial thoughts from looking at the pictures etc. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
