Here is my latest EDC setup... I tried to trim it back to the essentials without bloating the Pack Rat. I still need to add a small notepad and there is room to nest a pair of glasses or an AMK Bivvy on top of everything inside when it is zipped up.

This is probably 99% of what I find myself using or could possibly need day-to-day. The idea is to put this into a larger backpack which will have more goodies (Nalgene bottle, Leatherman Wave, GPS, scanner/shortwave radio, spare batteries & charger, cables, toiletries, warm clothes, snacks etc.). I am planning on using the Eagle A-III pack for this role along with some Kifaru Pull-Outs to organize the extra stuff.

EDC Gear:
-----------
CR123 spare battery
G2 Mini pen
Leatherman Micra
MSR Packtowel
Pepper spray (small)
Ra Clicky EDC Executive flashlight
SAK Soldier
SanDisk USB flash drive(s)
Windmill Trekker lighter

Survival Kit (in Aloksak):
----------------------------
AMK signal mirror
AMK whistle
Doug Ritter survival instructions (printed on waterproof paper)
Duct tape roll
Firesteel
Katadyn MP-1 water purification tabs
Magnifier
Photon Freedom light
Suunto Clipper compass
Wetfire tinder

First Aid (in Aloksak):
-------------------------
AMK Ultralight First Aid Kit (beefed up)
Hand sanitizer spray
Nitrile gloves
Pills and meds
Tweezerman set

Can you list the external dimensions for that, as well as how many pockets are on the inside (or just a pic of the empty inside)? Thanks.

Nice kit! :tinfoil:

Thanks Hoople, some good ideas there! Like your kits, too.

I thought about changing the Micra to the Squirt, and have both, but the Squirt P4 pliers are not as useful to me as the scissors on the Micra.

Typically I have a Benchmade Mini-Griptilian and/or a Leatherman Wave on me. Uncle Bill's tweezers will be going in the kit ASAP. Not that the AMK tweezers are bad, but what the heck. Might as well have the best.
