Since I got my P2D Q5 the switch has been, well the best words I can think of to describe it are squeaky or creaky. Definately different to the other Fenix lights I have with a switch, the L2P, L2D and TK10. It was obviously just the rubber part, but as there was nothing I could do about it short of buying a new tailcap, I just accepted it.

Then late last night I just suddenly thought no, this new hobby is about more than just pointing it at a wall, I'm gonna try, and if I break it, I break it, but I'll learn.

So, long story short, I changed the rubber part for the spare that came with the light and all is well!

I know it doesn't sound like much, but it was a big step for me.

Then I thought, well, I'm on a roll, so I changed the TK10 to the orange one.

Then I changed the P2D to the TK10 orange one. I really liked that, but being bigger it sticks out too much so could no longer tailstand, so I put the orange one back in the TK10 and the black one back in the P2D.

Even as I was doing it I could almost feel myself catching the bug. I don't have any other changes I'd want to make, but at least I've crossed the line of knowing I could, rather than just buy 'em and use 'em as they are.

What I'd really like now is an orange rubber part for the P2D but which is the same size as the supplied black one. Here we go again, more shopping/browsing....:)
