Is it possible to swap a SSC P4 emitter into the KL4 head?

I haven't tried this mod yet, but based on my experience putting a Lux III UX1K in a KL4, I can say that the P4 will probably give up the magic smoke, too. The KL4 driver is designed for a Lux V. I think the Vf exceeds what the P4 can take. YMMV though. Someone else reported putting a Cree in a KL4 and it ran fine.

Unless you're changing out the circuit, you will ruin the led. The difference in vf between these two leds is too great.

With one 17670(pila168s), it may work ok, 2 CR123A will destroy the emitter.
