Sure does - I ran down my battery yesterday - first time I've ran one down with the light. Yes it does get warm after ~10 minutes on high (2800) in 90 degree ambient temperature - but I could still hold it.

I also had my sabrewolf 18650 MCE in my back pocket & that light got HOT (not in my back pocket :devil🙂.

I'm new here, so I'm hoping for some insight from Mac's vets. Are these "save me a spot" postings necessary/helpful to be included in the next run, or do I just have to be quick when the announcement for the 5th run comes out?

I'm interested in Mac's 5th run of these SST-50's (obviously), but I'm not sure if I should post my desire to be included here, or the official announcement when it comes out.

In the past Mac has reserved spots for those that have stated they wanted in on his next run. I believe Mac usually gives a 2-3 day window for those posters to buck up.

Obviously the demand for his SST-50 EDC has been huge and they sell out fairly quick. I recommend that if you want one, state your interest in this thread and check his sub forum daily for the next run (5th) thread.

I asked Mac to give me a heads-up when the 4th run was about to start, and he did just that. However, asking ahead of time doesn't guarantee you a spot in line, just "dibs" on a spot in line. Still gotta place an order when the run starts.
