Has anyone here tried the StarKnife from Technology Associates? They claim it has great performance at a "disposable price", but would it really be worth anything? I'd carry it just to have at least a halfway utilitarian blade or to remove shrink-wrap from CDs or open boxes, maybe to slash the occasional terrorist or something.

It looks pretty interesting despite the fact that it's most certainly a cheap gimmick. It would be more desirable if the batteries were replaceable but their description doesn't mention it. I might ask them on their forums or something....

I'm sort of disappointed that it looks like a cheap-o spyderco ripoff knife. (there was a spyderco knife equipped with an LED, not white though).

Looks cool. At $13, your not going to get a knife that's a keeper. Great idea though. Wonder if Techass can do a retrofit on a knife with fat scales?
