Somewhere in CPF there should be a dictionary for newbies. Maybe it should be a Sticky.

Last night I was reading CPF and realized how many abbreviations I have had to learn in order to understand what is being discussed. A dictionary would be helpful for people to understand things like

I "C" my EDC (an SF E2e/Kl1) in my RFP.

What do you think?---Marc

Great idea, but it's already been done

Look at the bottom of the any CPF Page and you'll see a link titled Acronyms .

***EDIT***

OK you won't see the link on the "Last 50" page

JackBlades---Good one. LOL. FTOTO is not in the ACRONYM page, nor on the links attached to the ACRONYM page.
BTW, it's not nice to make fun of people having extended senior moments.---Marc

MicroE, I tried to get them to stop using acronyms, but they just wouldn't listen...

I have used the acronyms page several times but of course not every acronym is listed. Is there any way to make this a living document, one that can be opened by the proper person? That way new terms could be added after a review. I relise I'm volunteering someone other than myself for more unpaid work. Any other suggestioins?

LASER - Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation

Should the laser definition read "SIMULATED" on the acronyms link page?
